CLC News -- nothing new to report


Garden View Game Night -- is scheduled for Tuesday, September 10th at 6:30 pm. Please pray for this effort and get involved if possible.


Construction Begins! -- Thank You to everyone who helped out yesterday. Contractors will be on site to begin their work later this week. Please remember this project in your prayers and in your offerings.


Please Sign Up -- for a shift at our annual Manchester Days Outreach Booth.


Church Calendars -- for September are available.


Volunteers -- are needed to help construct and ride on and walk with our Faith Lutheran Float in the Manchester Days Parade on Saturday, September 6th. No float building or riding experience necessary :) We will work on the float on Thursday evening.


Encourage One Another and Grow in the Faith -- by attending adult Bible Study on Sunday mornings at 9:00 am. We are studying through the book of Romans.


Online prayer list for overseas missions--CLC Missionary Matthew Ude will be updating a list of needs and opportunities for our mission efforts in India and Africa on an Internet web page. You are encouraged to visit this site, and to pray for the work of our Lord's kingdom in these areas. You may visit the web site at this address: www.LutheranMissions.Org. Click on "Prayer List" from the left-hand column. Items currently on the list include:

  • Food for our pastors overseas -- With the current economic difficulties and food shortages, many of our foreign pastors as well as lay brethren or suffering to some degree or another.

  • Trip to Burma -- That the Lord might bless the upcoming trip to Burma, and cause it to be profitable and edifying to us and those in Burma. And that he might our missionaries safely through their travels.

  • Workers for the field -- That more of our brethren both overseas and back home, would find courage and opportunity to speak while it is yet day.

  • Nepal government -- The Nepal government just recently overthrew the monarchy without violence. The forces that are reshaping the government claim to desire a purely secular government, we pray that the Lord would bring about greater freedom for the preaching of His gospel.

  • Telugu Teacher for Matthew Ude -- I continue to hope and pray that I might be able to find someone here in Chennai to teach me Telugu. The opportunity to learn this language would greatly increase my effectiveness as a teacher.

  • Unity of doctrine in Nepal and Burma -- As we continue to meet and discuss doctrine in both Nepal and Burma we ask the Lord would lead us all into deeper doctrinal unity."
