Living~Faith Family Bible Camp

The members of Faith Lutheran in the St. Louis area and Living Word Lutheran in the Kansas City area are making plans for the 9th annual Living~Faith Family Bible Camp. The dates for this years camp are June 28th - July 1st. This camp is for children and adults with the idea that families will attend together. Activities include daily age appropriate Bible studies and devotions, worship service, camp fires, hiking, games, crafts, lots of hymn singing, swimming at the lake, and what ever other fun stuff we can come up with in the next few months.

Last year we had close to 80 campers with families from our two congregations as well as visiting families from Minnesota, Wisconsin, Texas, and Iowa. We hope many will all return again this year and encourage others to come too.

The group camp facility that we use has four villages with several cabins that sleep 8 or 12 individuals each. We usually designate two villages for families and one village for the older (high-school and above) boys and one for the older (high-school and above) girls. The camp has a maximum capacity of 190 so there is plenty of room. We serve all the meals in the large dining hall. Classes, worship and activities are conducted in a large recreation hall. Cuivre River State Park is located about 1 hour Northwest of St. Louis. Our schedule includes morning calisthenics, breakfast, an opening daily devotion followed by Bible Study (we split into age appropriate groups for this), lunch, afternoon activities (group hike, napping, swimming at the lake, crafts for the smaller kids, etc.) evening meal, evening outdoor game (softball, flag football, etc) evening devotion, hymn singing, camp-fire, bedtime.
